About Turuncu Motors

Turuncu Motorcycle Rental was founded in 2011 in Istanbul with a single goal: to give riders — whether locals or visitors from around the world — access to well-maintained, properly insured motorcycles and a rental experience that actually deserves the name. At the time, the Istanbul motorcycle rental market was almost entirely informal. Bikes were old, documentation was missing, and if something went wrong on the road, you were on your own. We set out to change that from day one.

In the years that followed, we grew steadily. We invested in new machines, built relationships with BMW, Yamaha, Honda, and TVS dealers across Turkey, and expanded our fleet every season. By 2018 we had passed the 50-motorcycle mark. Today we operate with more than 100 motorcycles spanning every category — 50cc city scooters, mid-weight manual bikes, 750cc+ adventure tourers, and full-litre cruisers — and we welcome thousands of guests every year from more than 47 countries.

Our team is led by Kemal Arslan, our head mechanic and one of the founding members of Turuncu Motors. Kemal has been working on motorcycles for over 22 years and personally oversees the pre-rental inspection process. Before any bike leaves our hands, it goes through a 30-point check covering brakes, tyres, chain, lights, fluid levels, and controls. Kemal's rule is simple: if he would not put his own family on a bike, it does not go out. That standard has never changed since 2011.

We are not a car rental company that happens to have a few motorcycles in the corner. Every person on our team rides. We talk about bikes the way other people talk about sport — with opinions, preferences, and genuine enthusiasm. When a customer asks which bike is right for the Bosphorus coastline versus the Belgrad Forest roads, we answer from experience, not from a brochure.

Our fleet is divided into four categories to help every rider find the right fit. Scooters — the Yamaha NMAX 125, NMAX 155, XMAX 250, and the TVS Jupiter — are ideal for city navigation and day trips around the peninsula. Manual bikes like the Yamaha MT-25 and Honda CB125R suit riders who want a more connected, spirited ride through Istanbul's hills. For longer journeys outside the city, our adventure range — the Honda Africa Twin, BMW R1250GS Adventure, and BMW F800GS Adventure — covers the kind of roads that Istanbul is a gateway to.

Delivery is one of the things we are most proud of. We deliver to Atatürk Airport, Sabiha Gökçen Airport, and to hotels throughout central Istanbul — Taksim, Beşiktaş, Kadıköy, Sultanahmet, and beyond. We hand over the bike in person, walk you through the controls, answer every question you have, and take a set of photographs together so there is complete transparency about the condition of the bike before you leave. No car-park drops, no leaving a key under a mat.

Every rental includes full comprehensive insurance, a helmet, a luggage net, and a 24/7 WhatsApp support line directly to our team. If anything happens on the road — a puncture, a mechanical issue, a question about a route — you message us and we respond. We have handled everything from flat tyres on the E-80 motorway to customers who decided to extend their rental by two weeks because they wanted to ride on to Cappadocia. We are ready for all of it.

Over 15 years in Istanbul we have built something that we are genuinely proud of: a motorcycle rental company that riders recommend to other riders. Our Google rating of 4.9 across more than 12,000 completed rentals is not something we advertise — it is something customers leave on their own because the experience earned it. If you are coming to Istanbul and want to explore it the way it deserves to be explored, we would love to be the company that makes that happen.
