Scooter Rental Istanbul

The 50 and 125 cc models are enough for short trips in the city. For two-up riding and the ring roads, the 250 cc and larger models are the better fit.

Which licence do you need to rent a scooter in Turkey?
Renting without a licence is not possible. The models you can rent by licence class:
50 cc scooter with a car (B) licence
A standard car (B) licence is enough for the 50 cc scooter. The 50 cc model in the fleet is the Yamaha NEOS 4; it is the only model riders without a motorcycle licence can rent. Yamaha NEOS 4: €40/day.
125 to 400 cc with an A1 or A2 licence
The 125 cc models need an A1 licence; the maxi scooters from 155 cc need an A2 licence. The minimum age is 21. If your licence is not in the Latin alphabet, an International Driving Permit is also required.

Petrol scooter or shared electric scooter
A search for scooter rental covers two different vehicles. The ones on this page are in the motorcycle class:

There are no electric models in our fleet.
What the daily rate includes
- Compulsory third-party liability insurance (damage to the rented motorcycle is not covered)

The security deposit for scooters is €150; it is taken at pickup and refunded in full when the scooter is returned in the agreed condition.

Rent a scooter in Istanbul: how it works
- Pick your dates, handover point and model in the form at the bottom of the page; the total appears in the summary.
- When you book online you pay a 20% prepayment by card through iyzico and the rest at pickup; you can also pay the full amount online.
- Your reservation number and the details are sent by email.
- At pickup you need your original driving licence, passport or national ID card, and a credit or debit card for the deposit.

Hotel and airport delivery
Pickup at the Mecidiyeköy office is free. The fee for delivery to a hotel or address depends on the distance and is confirmed on WhatsApp before you book.

Weekly and monthly scooter rental
The longer the rental, the lower the daily rate:

Which licence do I need to rent a scooter?
A car (B) licence is enough for the 50 cc model. The 125 cc models need an A1 licence and the maxi scooters from 155 to 400 cc need an A2 licence. If your licence is not in the Latin alphabet, an International Driving Permit is also required.
Can I rent a scooter with a car licence?
Yes. The 50 cc Yamaha NEOS 4 can be rented with a standard car (B) licence. The other scooter models need an A1 or A2 licence.
Can I rent a scooter without a licence?
No. A valid driving licence is required for every rental and the original is checked at pickup.
