The Yamaha MT-25 is an agile naked motorcycle whose 250cc twin-cylinder engine comes alive at high revs. At 167 kg it is easy to handle in Istanbul traffic. An A2 licence is required.

The upright riding position gives good control in traffic, and the wide handlebar makes manoeuvring in tight spaces easy. The coastal bends at Riva and the roads out of Belgrad Forest suit the character of this model.

Compulsory traffic insurance and a helmet are included in the rental; the deposit taken at pickup is €300. It suits riders who have experience with gears but do not want to move up to a large-capacity motorcycle.

How do I choose between the MT-25 and the R25?

The two share the same engine and chassis. The MT-25, with its upright position, is more comfortable in the city and in mixed use; the R25, with its forward-leaning position and fairing, is better on the open road. We recommend the MT-25 for traffic-heavy use and the R25 for coastal roads.

Can I carry a passenger on the MT-25?
