About the BMW F800 GS ADV

The F800 GS Adventure is built for riders who want to go anywhere. Its 800cc parallel twin handles everything from Istanbul's cobblestones to mountain gravel tracks.

The BMW F800 GS Adventure is a GS model that is noticeably lighter than the R1250 GS, with off-road geometry and touring equipment. A full A licence and a minimum age of 25 are required. Its ergonomics suit riding standing up, which helps on mixed-surface routes.

The 21-inch front wheel gives confidence on gravel roads; the area around the Kilyos dunes, the Karaburun coast and the Çilingoz Nature Park route suit this model. In the city the tall riding position gives you a better view of the traffic.

Compulsory traffic insurance and a helmet are included in the rental; the deposit taken at pickup is €500. It is chosen by riders who want a GS that is lighter and more economical than the R1250 GS.

BMW F800 GS ADV: frequently asked questions

Should I rent the F800 GS or the R1250 GS?

The F800 GS is lighter, easier to handle and more agile on routes that are mostly dirt. The R1250 GS is ahead on power and comfort and is better suited to long tarmac tours. If your route is mostly dirt or mixed surfaces we recommend the F800 GS; for long tarmac distances, the R1250 GS.

Is there a height or weight limit for the F800 GS?

There is no official limit; however, because of the seat height we check the fit at handover for riders under 170 cm. The NC750X, which has a lower seat, can be suggested as an alternative.
